Harold Swinney, 90, of Russellville, passed away July 29. Visitation took place at Spry Memorial Chapel Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the service immediately following. Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Gilbert Donald, 72, of Russellville, passed away July 25. Visitation took place July 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel.
Christy Shea Trapp Sanders
July 25, 2026
Christy Shea Trapp Sanders, 52, of Phil Campbell, passed away July 25, at Russellville Hospital. She was born March 19, 1974, to Rayan and Christine Trapp. Christy was known for her warm and welcoming personality that naturally drew people to her.
She had a smile that could light up any room and truly never met a stranger. Her kind heart and friendly spirit made a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She found great joy in spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and farming where she made many cherished memories with family and friends. She loved her daughter, Emmi, dearly.
Visitation took place July 29, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home. Funeral services immediately followed in the funeral home chapel.
Christy is survived by her beloved daughter, Emmi Sanders; sisters, Mary Stanford and Shannon (Jammie) Boyles; nephews, Jereld Osborn, Matthew Trapp, Patrick Trapp, and Jake Boyles; nieces, Stephanie Montgomery, Mellie Stanford, Candace Trapp; and Ella Boyles, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rayan and Christine Trapp; her brother, Rickey Trapp; and her nephew, Cody Trapp. The family will forever remember Christy for the love she shared, the laughter she brought to every gathering and the genuine kindness she showed to everyone she met. Her memory will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
