ALL.SPACE to make Shoals its US hub
FLORENCE — A United Kingdom multinetwork satellite communications company with U.S. defense industry clients has announced plans to make the Shoals “a focal point for its U.S. operations,” but did not specify the location.
ALL.SPACE made the announcement on its website, stating it is “redomiciling” in the United States and selected the Shoals for its U.S. technical and manufacturing hub. “This will support expanding U.S. operations and deepen partnerships within the local advanced defense and technology community in the Shoals,” the announcement stated. “The move reflects ALL.SPACE’s accelerating growth in North America and aligns the company more closely with its primary customers, partners and supply chain within the U.S. defense ecosystem.
“This hub will enable the company to support manufacturing, scale its support services and technology development while building strong partnerships and driving economic development within the Shoals’ advanced defense and technology community,” the release stated.
Details on the exact location, how many employees will be involved, and timing of the project have not been released.
ALL.SPACE, which originally was Isotropic Systems Ltd., was founded in 2013 and has delivered development programs with the European Space Agency, U.K. Space Agency, U.K. Ministry of Defense, and the U.S. Department of Defense, according to the company’s website.
U.S.-based national defense company York Space Systems acquired ALL.SPACE in April.
ALL.SPACE CEO Paul McCarter thanked U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt, R-Ala., whose district includes northwest Alabama, for helping in the project. Aderholt called the decision a “major win” for the area.
“ALL.SPACE’s decision to establish a U.S. technical and manufacturing hub in the Shoals is a major win for north Alabama and a strong vote of confidence in our workforce, our industrial base and our growing role in supporting the nation’s defense priorities,” Aderholt said in the release.
