28 parents attend Launch Academy meeting
RUSSELLVILLE — Twenty-eight parents attended Monday’s informational meeting about Russellville City Schools’ new Launch Academy virtual learning program.
Launch Academy Director and Lead Teacher Edmund Martinez said most questions focused on sports eligibility, extracurricular activities and graduation requirements.
Martinez said students enrolled in Launch Academy will continue to have access to athletics, clubs, and other school activities.
He said two families with homeschooled children attended the meeting to explore virtual learning options.
Martinez said he will monitor student progress and help connect students with needed support.
Registration remains open through July 24.
