SPRUCE PINE DAY
For anyone getting near downtown Spruce Pine on Saturday, enthusiasm for the annual Spruce Pine Day festival was evident from the sight of cars parked “here, there and everywhere.” Community members came together for the longstanding event to enjoy old friends and new faces as well. Activities included live music, shopping with food and craft vendors, and a car show. The Spruce Pine Historical Society sold bean dinners in the community center. Visitors also got to tour the Spruce Pine Museum.
