3 awaiting hearings for alleged drug trafficking

RUSSELLVILLE Three residents are awaiting preliminary hearings after being arrested and charged for separate alleged drug trafficking crimes.

Amanda Lynn Hines, 45, was arrested on Sept. 10 by members of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office after deputies found 6 grams of purple fentanyl powder, 8.5 grams of methamphetamines, the weight-loss drug Adipex, and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at the intersection of Limestone Street and Green Avenue.

Hines was charged with one count each of drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hines’ arrest came two months after she had been arrested and charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court records.

Earlier on Sept. 10, deputies arrested two more Russellville residents after 30.22 grams of methamphetamine were discovered and seized by sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies arrested and charged Edith Virginia Lee McGee, 49, and Tracey Brian Crowden with drug trafficking and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three suspects were booked into the Franklin County Jail.

Hines, Crowden and McGee remain in jail on $100,000 bonds.

Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for Oct. 27.
