Apply for STEM grants by Sept. 15

R U S S E L L V I L L E — K-12 teachers and administrators in public or private schools have until Sept. 15 to apply for grants of up to $5,000 through the 2025 TVA STEM Award Program.
The program supports classroom projects in science, technology, engineering and math. Preference will go to applications that explore TVA’s focus areas — environment, energy, economic and career development and community problemsolving.
Schools must be in TVA’s seven-state service area and receive electricity from a local power distributor served by TVA.
Teachers and administrators can apply at TVA.com/STEM. Award recipients will be announced Nov. 20.
TVA partners with its retiree organization, Bicentennial Volunteers Inc. (BVI), and the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network, operated by Battelle.
President and CEO Don Moul said the program reflects TVA’s commitment to the region’s future.
“We know that today’s students will shape the future of the Tennessee Valley region,” Moul said.
He said STEM education plays a critical role in preparing students for that future.
“A career in STEM will provide good opportunities for students and ensure our region’s workforce is prepared to provide energy security for the next generation,” Moul said.
That future, he noted, depends not only on students, but also on the educators who inspire them.
