Sherry Smith retires from Russellville Electric
RUSSELLVILLE Sherry Smith is embarking on a new chapter following her retirement as executive assistant for Russellville Electric.
She held the role for a little more than 10 years.
She started work there in February 2015. Her duties included payroll, preparing bills and handling matters related to the board, such as conference and school arrangements, registration and “whatever came up.”
Smith said she has enjoyed “the whole process” — her work and interacting with her fellow employees. Her role was not one that included public interaction.
She grew up in Littleville and went to school at Colbert Heights. When she got married, she moved to Russellville, where she’s lived since 1981.
As to what comes next, Smith is leaving the possibilities open, noting she looks forward spending more time with her grandchildren and “whatever comes up.”
