Rollercoaster week for Phil Campbell softball

The Phil Campbell Bobcats softball team experienced a rollercoaster week. The Bobcats started strong, securing three consecutive victories against Phillips, Covenant Christian and Tremont.

Against Phillips, the Bobcats exploded for 12 runs on 12 hits, capitalizing on four Phillips errors. Kadence Taylor led the charge with three RBI and two runs scored, while Georgia Motes contributed three hits and three runs. Bella Welch added two doubles, and Shiloh Madden tripled, highlighting the team’s power at the plate.

In their victory over Covenant Christian, Phil Campbell scored nine runs on just five hits, again capitalizing on opponent errors. Madden and Mia Ambrosio each had two hits and a RBI. Addie James delivered a stellar performance in the circle, pitching a complete game, allowing only five hits, and striking out six.

The Bobcats continued their winning streak with a 9-5 victory over Tremont. Taylor led the offense, hitting two doubles, collecting two RBI, and scoring two runs. Welch and Madden also added doubles. James was dominant once again, pitching a complete game, striking out nine, and allowing only five runs.

However, the Bobcats faced a challenging Saturday, dropping three consecutive games. They suffered losses to Lindsay Lane (18-0), Cherokee (13-6) and Colbert Heights (12-1).
