Best wishes for happy, safe new year

We Say

Well, Franklin County, we’ve made it through another year. 2024 is officially in the books, and we have said hello to a bright, shiny new year. As we turn the calendar page to 2025, we just wanted to share a few well wishes and words of gratitude.

A quick word of thanks to our readers and subscribers as well as our advertisers. Thank you for all you do to participate in and support your community newspaper. Whether it’s buying a copy from a newsstand or continuing your yearly subscription; using a service we offer, like sending in your wedding announcement, yard sale notice or community calendar item; sharing one of our posts on Facebook or contacting us with a great story idea – we are thankful each time you are involved and engaged with the Franklin County Times.

After all, we don’t do this for ourselves. We do it for you. For centuries now, newspapers have been a crucial part of local communities, and we’re proud to be a part of the tradition and to continue our part here in Franklin County as another year begins.

We hope you will continue to be part of the work we do in the year and years to come.

We wish you a 2024 full of blessings, comfort and joy. Bad news is often unavoidable, but in our line of work, we love sharing the good news, and we hope you’ll experience plenty of good news in your life. We wish you safety, friendship and love. We wish you to have all the necessities of life and at least a few of the pleasures, too. We wish you to revive old connections, reach out to those in need, be grateful for all you have and embrace new opportunities, which are sure to be in great supply.

No matter what has transpired this year, another year is on the horizon – 365 more days of opportunities.

We wish you all the best for a Happy New Year.
