    Franklin County votes in 2024 general election

    Franklin County Voter Turnout

    According to AlabamaVotes.gov, the Franklin County results for the 2024 general election (held Nov. 5) include 12,144 total ballots cast out of 19,919 register voters, which represents a 60.97 percent voter turnout.

    By contrast, in the March 4 primary, held earlier this year, there were 5,743 total ballots cast out of 19,610 registered voters, representing a 29.29 percent voter turnout.

    The election results presented on AlabamaVotes.gov are unofficial and presented as a courtesy of the Alabama Secretary of State and Alabama’s Probate Judges. The accuracy of the election results is the responsibility of the Probate Judge for each county reporting.

    Nov. 5 General Election (Franklin County Votes)

    Proposed Statewide Amendment Number One
    Yes – 90.01 percent – 9,834 votes
    No – 9.99 percent – 1,092 votes
    — Statewide – Yes, 74.37 percent (1,155,588 votes); No, 25.96 percent (398,196 votes)

    President:
    Kamala D. Harris (DEM) – 12.96 percent – 1,566 votes

    Donald J. Trump (REP) – 86.11 percent – 10,404 votes

    Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (IND) – 0.53 percent – 64 votes

    Jill Stein (IND) – 0.10 percent – 12 votes
    Chase Oliver (IND) – 0.13 percent – 16 votes

    Write-in – 0.17 percent – 20 votes

    Statewide, Donald J. Trump received 64.58 percent (1,457,704 votes) and Kamala D. Harris received 34.09 percent (769,391 votes).

    United States Representative, 4th Congressional District:

    Robert B. Aderholt (REP) – 99.24 percent – 10,483 votes (Statewide – 98.78 percent – 249,365 votes)
    Write-in – 0.76 percent – 80 votes

    Circuit Court Judge, 34th Judicial Circuit:
    Brian Hamilton (REP) – 99.42 percent – 10, 263 votes
    Write-in – 0.58 percent – 60 votes

    District Court Judge, Franklin County:
    Jamie Sumerel (REP) – 99.53 percent – 10,324 percent
    Write-in – 0.47 percent – 49 votes

    Circuit Clerk, Franklin County:
    Derrick C. Scott (REP) – 99.57 percent – 10,294 votes
    Write-in – 0.43 percent – 44 votes

    Franklin County Judge of Probate:
    Barry Moore (REP) – 99.53 percent – 10,396 votes
    Write-in – 0.47 percent – 49 votes
    The Judge of Probate serves as chairman of the Franklin County Commission.

    Member, Franklin County Commission, District No. 1:
    Charles Mitchell (DEM) – 15.42 percent – 1,792 votes
    Michael Murray (REP) – 84.42 percent – 9,809 votes
    Write-in – 0.15 percent – 18 votes
    (Chris Wallace previously held this position.)

    Member, Franklin County Commission, District No. 2:
    Greg Hovater (REP) – 99.39 percent – 10,254 votes
    Write-in – 0.61 percent – 63 votes
    (Jason Miller previously held this position.)

    Member, Franklin County Commission, District No. 3:
    Joseph Baldwin (REP) – 99.54 percent – 10,239 votes

    Write-in – 0.46 percent – 47 votes
    (This is Joseph Baldwin’s second term.)

    Member, Franklin County Commission, District No. 4:
    Tracie Clark (REP) – 99.39 percent – 10,154 votes
    Write-in – 0.61 percent – 62 votes
    -This is the first time a woman has been elected to the Franklin County Commission.
    (David Hester previously held this position.)

    Superintendent, Franklin County Board of Education:
    Greg Hamilton (REP) – 98.92 percent – 7,870 votes
    Write-in – 1.08 percent – 86 votes
    (Greg Hamilton was re-elected as Superintendent.)

    Member, Franklin County Board of Education, District No. 1:
    Ralton Baker (REP) – 99.87 percent – 1,581 votes
    Write-in – 0.13 percent – 2 votes

    Member, Franklin County Board of Education, District No. 5:
    Kacey Hester Johnston (REP) – 99.74 percent – 1,515 votes
    Write-in – 0.26 percent – 4 votes
