County softball summary

Red Bay 5, Phil Campbell 2

The Red Bay Tigers picked up their second win over Phil Campbell in the young season 5-2.

The Tigers got hits from Hannah Butler, Kyla Blackburn, Mikayela Jackson and Journee Swann.

Swann was the winning pitcher, allowing just one earned run on three hits and striking out four.

Phil Campbell got hits from Sidda Rogers, Shiloh Madden, Kadence Taylor and Katelin Hester.

Vina 5, Phil Campbell 4

Lana Bell almost went the distance in the circle to lead Vina past Phil Campbell 5-4. Bell pitched six and two-thirds innings, allowed two earned runs and struck out seven.

Bell also got the job done at the plate with two hits, an RBI and scoring twice.

Braxtyn Quinn had two hits, a run and a RBI. Harleigh Ridge doubled in three runs as well.

For the Bobcats, Shiloh Madden had two hits and a run. Kadence Taylor singled, doubled and had a RBI.

Belgreen 9, Phillips 0

Caliegh Lawson doubled and tripled to take Belgreen to a 9-0 win over Phillips. Lawson knocked in four runs and scored a run as well.

Morgan Vandiver singled and had three RBI. Bryn Scott singled and scored three runs.

Lily Blackburn pitched the shutout, striking out seven.

Phil Campbell 4, Cherokee 2

Shiloh Madden singled and tripled to lead Phil Campbell past Cherokee 4-2. Madden had three RBI and scored a run.

Mia Ambrosio scored two runs.

Addie James was the winning pitcher, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out two batters.

Vina 13, Sheffield 2

Vina belted out nine hits and took advantage of four Sheffield errors to beat the Bulldogs 13-2.

AC Chandler had two hits, a RBI and scored three runs. Lana Bell had a hit, a RBI and scored twice. Kenzie Elrod had a hit, RBI and scored twice.

Bell didn’t allow an earned run and struck out eight.
