Franklin County volleyball tournament team matchups take place

The Franklin County volleyball tournaments begin this week. The junior high and junior varsity divisions will be held on Wednesday at Phil Campbell High School. The varsity division will take place at Red Bay High School Saturday.

Belgreen earned the top seed in the varsity tournament by winning the Quad Tournament at Tharptown two weeks ago. Belgreen will open play with Tharptown in the double-elimination tournament at Red Bay at 9 a.m. Phil Campbell was the second seed and will play third seed Red Bay at 10 a.m.

The junior high and junior varsity tournament at Phil Campbell is single-elimination.

In the junior varsity division, Phil Campbell earned the top seed and will play Tharptown at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phil Campbell. Belgreen will play Red Bay at 3 p.m. The two winners will play at 4 p.m. in the finals.

In the junior high division, Phil Campbell and Belgreen tied for the top seed. After a coin flip, the Bulldogs will play Red Bay at 2 p.m. at Phil Campbell. Phil Campbell will play Tharptown at 3 p.m. The two winners will play at 4 p.m. in the finals.
