Golden Tigers host Players vs. Coaches volleyball event

The Russellville volleyball program, led by new varsity head coach William White, hosted the annual Players vs. Coaches event on Aug. 3 at the RMS gym.
RCS coaches representing various sports and administrators faced the current Golden Tigers during matches in front of a crowd of spectators for the fun event that also served as a fundraiser.

“It was a great night for the program,” White said. “We had a real blast, and I could tell that we had a little over a hundred people show up to really help contribute to the program. There were a lot of parents and also a lot of people from the community that just showed up. They’ve heard some things were going on, and they wanted to come and check it out and, hopefully, they saw some good stuff tonight.”

The Golden Tigers have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming season. The first home match is scheduled for Aug. 31 against Alcorn Central.
