RHS girls’ tennis team receives recognition for successes

The RHS girls’ varsity tennis team received recognition during the May 2 Russellville City Council meeting, along with their coach, Charlotte Dollar, and assistant coach, LeAnn Strickland, for their recent successes at state. Team members include Leah Rushing, Madeline Cooper, Peyton Parrish, Sofia Tiffin, Natalie Busler, Avary Miller, Addie Strickland and Kinsley Palmer.

The team as whole notched a runner-up finish at state.

The RHS No. 3 doubles duo of seniors Madeline Cooper and Leah Rushing earned first place in the state for girls’ tennis.

The RHS No. 1 doubles team of Peyton Parrish and Sofia Tiffin earned a second-place finish in girls’ tennis for the state.
