Belgreen, Phil Campbell get set to host area tournaments

The basketball regular season comes to an end this week, and area tournaments will start next week. The winner and runner up of each area tournament will advance to subregion play.

Here are the area tournament sites, matchups, dates and times:

BOYS

Class 1A, Area 14, at Belgreen

  • Feb. 8 – 5:30 p.m. Vina versus Belgreen; 7 p.m. Hackleburg versus Phillips
  • Feb. 10 – 5 p.m. Finals

Class 2A, Area 10, at Aliceville

  • Feb. 8 – 6 p.m. Lamar County versus Red Bay; 7:30 p.m. Sulligent versus Aliceville
  • Feb. 11 – 6 p.m. Finals

Class 2A, Area 14, at Tanner

  • Feb. 7 – 5 p.m. Whitesburg Christian versus Tanner; 6:30 p.m. Tharptown versus Hatton
  • Feb. 10 – 7 p.m. Finals

Class 3A, Area 15, at Danville

  • Feb. 8 – 6 p.m. Phil Campbell versus Danville; 7:30 p.m. East Lawrence versus Vinemont
  • Feb. 11 – 6 p.m. Finals

Class 5A, Area 15, at Lawrence County

  • Feb. 8 – 6 p.m. Russellville at West Point
  • Feb. 11 – 7 p.m. Finals

GIRLS

Class 1A, Area 14, at Hackleburg

  • Feb. 7 – 5:30 p.m. Vina versus Belgreen; 7 p.m. Phillips versus Hackleburg
  • Feb. 10 – 7 p.m. Finals

Class 2A, Area 10, at Sulligent

  • Feb. 7 – 6 p.m. Aliceville versus Red Bay; 7:30 p.m. Lamar County versus Sulligent
  • Feb. 10 – 6 p.m. Finals

Class 2A, Area 14, at Tanner

  • Feb. 8 – 5 p.m. Whitesburg Christian versus Hatton; 6:30 p.m. Tharptown versus Tanner

Class 3A, Area 15, at Phil Campbell
