Ronnie McDowell postpones concert

In light of the coronavirus and the recent State of Emergency, the Ronnie McDowell concert at the Historic Roxy Theater in Russellville has been rescheduled.

“The coronavirus is at the top of everyone’s thinking,” said Susie Malone of the Franklin County Arts and Humanities Council. “The COVID-19 outbreak is creating a very challenging situation for everyone. Many activities and events have been canceled or rescheduled to prevent potential exposure to the coronavirus.”

Because of this pandemic, the Franklin County Arts and Humanities Council Board decided to reschedule the Ronnie McDowell concert, previously planned for March 21. The new date for the McDowell concert is set for May 16.

The reserved tickets that have already been purchased will be honored at the May 16 show.

Event coordinator Wanda Myrick said she was looking forward to the show this weekend but knows it will be a great performance regardless of the date.

“It is going to be a great show whenever he performs, but unfortunately we have to wait a little longer to see the show,” Myrick said.

“We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support as we continue to coordinate our events during this challenging and rapidly changing situation,” Malone added. “You have our commitment that the Arts Council will make every effort to do what is best for our community.”

For any questions concerning the show, call 256-415-3270.
