Peas and thank you

Aug. 24 the Franklin County Farmers Market in Russellville hosts more than 100 community members for Peas and Cornbread Day. Franklin County Extension Director Katernia Cole-Coffey, along with extension agents Annette Casteel and April Hill, serve up fresh cornbread, black-eyed peas, tomatoes, onions and collard greens to the public. Cole-Coffey extended a special thank you to new downtown restaurant Doe’s Eat Place for the donation of collard greens, which she said “showed great community participation.”
