Big second half lifts Belgreen past Hackleburg

The Belgreen Bulldogs scored 45 points in the second half to down the Hackleburg Panthers 79-45 and finish atop 1A, Area 13 with a 7-1 record.

Belgreen led 34-18 coming out of the halftime locker room. The Bulldogs put the game away with a 17-4 run to go up 51-32 with three minutes left in the third quarter. Eli Hiser started the run with a layup, and Seth Taylor capped it off with a three-point jumper.

Taylor led Belgreen with 22 points and hit six three-pointers. Mason Bragwell followed with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Hiser hit three three-pointers and scored 15 points. Jacob Mayberry finished with 10 points.

Belgreen improved to 19-5 on the season.
