In a county rivalry pitting Belgreen against Tharptown, the Bulldogs pulled out win over the Wildcats with steady scoring pace.

Belgreen 81, Tharptown 60

In their first matchup of the season, the Belgreen Bulldogs outpaced the Tharptown Wildcats to pick an 81-60 area win.

Both teams started on an amazing scoring pace with Belgreen leading Tharptown 29-22 at the end of the first quarter. “It was just one of those nights,” said Belgreen Coach Clint Isbell. “We had a lot of energy, and we played up tempo all the way. Our shots were falling. It was a fun game.”

The Bulldogs shot 59 percent from the field and hit seven three pointers in their 56-point first half.
