Grace Christine Hester Boyd

Grace Christine Hester Boyd, age 85, Russellville, passed away Nov. 03 at Helen Keller Hospital.

Mrs. Boyd was known as Grace or Christine, but most importantly as Mom and Nanny. She was a member of Belgreen Church of Christ and in the last few years attended New Friendship Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian woman, who was always kind and giving and loved everyone she came in contact with. She was not just a mother and grandmother but a best friend to many.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 5 at Belgreen Cemetery with Bro. Jackie Richardson officiating.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard C. Boyd; daughter, Shara Lynn Kimbrough; and parents, Trannie “Pop” and Rosie “Ma” Hester.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Tim Boyd and wife Teresa, Jimmy Boyd and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Lisa Kimbrough Hill and husband Gene, Ryan Boyd and fiance’ Jessica, Bethany Boyd Nash and husband Scott, Meagan Boyd Tutor and husband Josh, Cody Boyd and wife Leah Marie and Colt Boyd and wife Brittany; step-grandchildren, Todd Garrison and wife Tiffany, Tracy Garrison and husband Jake; son-in-law, John Kimbrough and wife Kathy; and several great-grandchildren.

The pallbearers will be Tim Boyd, Jimmy Boyd, John Kimbrough, Ryan Boyd, Colt Boyd and Gene Hill.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Nanny’s caregivers, granddaughters, Lisa Hill, Meagan Boyd Tutor and daughter-in-law Sharon Boyd for their love and care. Also a special thanks to Andy Cansler, Shrea Walker, the staff of Asercare and Alacare Hospice, Nancy Terrell, the staff at Helen Keller ER, Melanie Malone and Jean Hester at the Littleville Medical Clinic and the many friends for the thoughts, prayers and care of our family.
