Justin A. “Buddy” Scott

Justin A. “Buddy” Scott, 85, passed away March 20 at his residence. He was born in Franklin County and had worked as a truck driver for Sunshine Mills. He was a member of Red Bay Church of God.

Services will be March 22 at 4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Steve Ledbetter and Bro. Billy Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery, Red Bay.

Survivors are three children, Cheryl Scott Holley and husband Gilbert, Moulton, and Juston Scott Jr. and Lynn Scott (Krista), all of Red Bay; seven grandchildren, Scotty Holley, Bridget Montgomery, Leigh Ann Craig, Britta Orrick, Brook Scott, Derek Scott and Christopher Scott; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clifton Scott and wife Deborah, Vina; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Scott; his parents, Hardy and Leona Scott; a brother, Clinton Scott; a twin sister, Justine Davis; and a great-grandson, Drake James Scott.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Holley, Derek Scott, Christopher Scott, Jeremy Orrick, Lawson Craig and Joseph Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson Hacker, Paxton Montgomery, Tucker Montgomery, Lawson Craig and Austin Orrick.

Visitation will be March 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
