Lilly Magdleen Bishop
Lilly Magdleen Bishop, 90, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015 at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born in Franklin County, to William Franklin and Maudie Alice Gray Young. She worked in janitorial services and was a member of Vina First Baptist Church.
Services were Saturday, Sept. 26, at Vina First Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Stancil, Bro. Ray Kirk and Bro. Billy Nichols officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery, Vina.
Survivors are five daughters: Mary Elizabeth Mitchell, Martha Bishop and Shelby Bishop, all of Vina, and Gloria McCarley and Shirley Mitchell and husband Aaron all of Hamilton; one brother, William Bishop, Vina; one sister: Bessie Faye Ables of Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three children, Roy Bishop, Ray Bishop and Maudie Bell Dees and several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers were Lee Bishop, Rocky Bishop, Paul Mitchell, Nelson Mitchell, Josh Mitchell and Tommie Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris McCarley, Mitchell Harris, Michael Moomaw, Bryan Moomaw, Robert Moomaw, Bailey Harris, Dewayne McCarley, Cole Bishop, Gauge Bishop, Matthew Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, Adam Allen and Aaron “Little Bit” Allen.
Visitation was Friday, Sept. 25, at Vina First Baptist Church.
