Paula Jean Vasilakos , 68 passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 after a brief illness.

A memorial service was held Friday, August 14 2015, at Margerum Community Church, brother Rod Stansky officiated.

She was preceded in death by husband, Wayne Newell; daughter, Micheala Stameson; sister, Megan Smith.

Survivors include daughter, Karen Cole and husband, Darren; grandchildren, Lily and Georgia Cole, Ben and Matthew Costen; all of Maid Stone, England; son-in-law, Andrew Stameson; grandchildren Kostantinos, Apostolos, Christina, all of Oaklawn, Ill.; niece, Tracy Smith, Chicago, Ill.

Ms. Paula, as she was known to everyone, had a beautiful English accent and a constant smile. She was born in England and came to America in the 1970s. Her gift of making everyone feel special, helped to build long lasting friendships, and all the customers at stations where she worked loved her for the care she gave them, and warm, loving, atmosphere around her. Her loving dogs, Max who was recently deceased, and Miss Prissy her current dog, were delights in her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Margerum Community Church.

Miss Paula will be sorely missed.
