Carla Lee Carithers, 80, Golden, Miss., passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Southern Magnolia Estates, Golden, Miss. She was born in Florida, a homemaker and formerly a resident of Florence. She was formerly a longtime member of Golden Central Baptist Church and was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.

Services were Friday, August 7, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Miss. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery, Belmont, Miss.

Survivors are three children, Leonard Taylor and wife, Betty, Teresa Wilson and Antoinette Floyd and husband, Ellis; grandchildren, Benji Taylor, April Roach and husband, Tim, D.J. Elrod (Nancy Riddle), Madison Adkins and husband, Brent, Shea Melton and husband, Jason, Kaydee Chandler and husband, Logan, Samantha Alexander and husband, Rodrick and Josh Floyd and wife, Julia; twelve great-grandchildren;  three brothers, James Fountain, Johnny Fountain and Robert Fountain and six sisters, Cora Lee Grace, Frankie Vickery, Janice Highsmith, Joyce Hill, Betty Ryan and Gloria Mae Noe and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Minnie Merle Fountain, her husband of 47 years, Tulon “Bob” Carithers, a grandson, Adam Taylor , three brothers, Elmer Fountain, Carl Fountain Jr. and Eddie Fountain and a son-in-law, Danny Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Brent Adkins, Rocky Bishop, Logan Chandler, Rodrick Alexander, Jacob Phillips and Nathan Kilgore.

Visitation was Thursday, August 6, at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Miss.
