Van Burean Borden, age 78, Russellville, passed away on Friday June 5, 2015 at ECM Hospital.

The visitation was Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church.  The funeral was Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church.  Officiating at the service was Bro. William Mears.  Burial followed in the adjourning cemetery.

He is survived by wife of 55 years, Annie Mae Borden; son, Johnny Lee Borden and wife, Sheila; grandchildren, Erica Aguirre and husband, Jose, Johnathan Borden and wife, Holly, Shandi Gardner, Chelsey Gardner, Daniel Kimbrough; great-grandchildren, Maeleigh Aguirre, Matthew Aguirre, Mason Aguirre, Maleah Duke; brother, Carlos Borden; sister, Etta Cole; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mattie Borden; great-granddaughter, Madelyn Aguirre; sisters, Dorothy Davis, Mildred Cassel, Lorene Colburn, Linnie Mae Partain; and brothers, William Borden and Elmer Borden.

The pallbearers were Rodney Borden, Chris Borden, Faron Bordon, Dennis Cassel, Darren Borden, Jose Cantero, Jose Aguirre, Terry Lee Borden and Reese Borden.  The honorary pallbearers were Wymon Cole, and Daniel Kimbrough.

The family would like to extend a special thanks the nurses and doctors of ECM, and the staff of Gentiva Hospice for the love and care shown towards our family.
