Michael Trent Markem, age 27, Russellville, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015.

The visitation will be 1:00–2:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at Spry Memorial Chapel with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Bobby Brown and Bro. Silas Oliver.  Burial will be at Cedar Creek Baptist Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica Lynn Strickland Markem; daughter, Abbie Markem; parents, Jeff & Linda Michael; father and mother-in-law, David & Kimberly Strickland; grandparents, Harvie and JoAnn Markem, Annie Michael; aunts, Dorthy Graves, Annette Taylor, Patricia Markem, Mary Ann Scott, Trina Gower, uncles, David Murray, Jeremy Behel; several cousins; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Michael; great-grandparents, Delores & James Remick; and best friend, Jerry Robert Lewey.

The pallbearers will be Courtney Strickland, Jake Vandiver, Chase Strickland, Brian Woodruff, Justin Vicks, Jeremiah Bentley, Jerry Prince, Gabe Thomas, and Mark Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the funeral expense, c/o Spry Memorial Chapel, PO Box 246, Russellville, AL 35653.
