Jerrilean Steward Borden, age 85, Phil Campbell, passed away on Tuesday, April 07, 2015 at ECM Hospital.

Mrs. Borden was retired from VF Jeanswear (Wrangler) and from Phil Campbell High School.  She was an awesome mother, an excellent Christian, and a friend to all who knew her.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 08, 2015 at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 09, 2015 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bobby Duncan and Bro. Doug Swan officiating.  Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery, Phil Campbell.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary F. Mason and husband, Troy,  Fran L. Barnwell, Cynthia K. Carter; daughter-in-law, Carolin L. Steward; grandchildren, Byron L. Steward, Brandon J. Steward, Darren G. Steward, Angelia Mason Brown, Kevin S. Barnwell, Trenton D. Carter, Adam S. Carter; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer Wesley Steward, Irland J. Borden; son, Elmer Lee Steward; grandson, Bradley D. Barnwell; son-in-law, Danny R. Carter; parents, Elmer & Flora Cochran; sister, Mary Louise Garrison; and brother, Eugene Cochran.

The pallbearers will be Trenton Carter, Adam Carter, Kevin Barnwell, Byron Steward, Brandon Steward, and Darren Steward.

The family would like to extend a special thanks Dr. Lyman Mitchell, nurses at ECM Hospital, and the nurses and staff of Terrace Manor Nursing Home for the love and care shown to our family.
