Marcus Wilson Emerson, 64, of Vina, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Alabama and was a farmer for more than twenty years. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.

Services will be Wednesday, March 11, at 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Marty Guidry officiating. Burial will be in Shottsville Cemetery, Vina, Al.

Survivors are two sons, Dewayne Emerson and wife, Karen and Glenn Griffith; four grandchildren, Emily Emerson, Chance Griffith, Joseph Emerson and Hunter Griffith; brothers and sister, V.H. Emerson and wife, Kathy, Barbara Emerson, Doug Emerson and Jimmy Emerson and a special aunt, Pearline Oliver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, M.E. and Louise Emerson and two sisters-in-law, Diane Emerson and Linda Emerson.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Emerson, Glenn Griffith, Chance Griffith, Joseph Emerson, Steven Watson, Doug Emerson, Mark Emerson and Hunter Griffith.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
