Myra Grissom Kirby, age 85, Russellville, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Russellville Hospital.
Myra never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. She worked several jobs throughout her lifetime; from being a receptionist at Grissom Motors; to furniture sales at Village Furniture and later at Royal Furniture; and then owning Village Florist and creating flowers arrangements. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Russellville. She will be missed by all who knew her.
The visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville, with the funeral following at noon in the chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Richard Parker. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Kirby Allen and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Kirby Allen, Emory Allen, Anne Kathryn Allen; sister, Betty Grissom Darnell and husband, Ray; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; Hal Kirby; son, Hal Kirby, Jr.; parents, Hobart and Gladys Grissom; and brother, Jimmy Don Grissom.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to The Country Cottage Assisted Living Staff, Dr. Leonides Santos and staff; and the staff at the RussellvilleHospital for their love and care towards our mother.
