Gwen Messer, 79 of Phil Campbell, entered into the presence of Almighty God our Father on Feb. 27, 2015 at Helen Keller Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband C.B. Messer, Jr.

She is survived by her three children; Sonja Messer, Virginia Lind Burks and husband, Jerome, Bryan J. Messer and wife, Tammie; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

She was member of Mountain ViewBaptistChurch.  She is a retired teacher from Marion County Board of Education with 22 years of service.

The family received friends Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Mountain ViewBaptistChurch. Funeral service was with Bro. Sammy Taylor officiating.  Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery with Order of the Eastern Star service.
