Judy Carolyn Peck Gates, age 66, Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015 at her residence.

Judy was a homemaker, an avid Alabama fan, and a dog lover.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and concerts.  She gave us all such courage and reminded us of all the preciousness of life.   All who knew her loved her.

The visitation was Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at Franklin Memory Mausoleum, with the service in the mausoleum.  Officiating was Bro. James McCullar.

She is survived by her first cousins, Shelia Malone, Johnny Hester, Radford Hester and wife, Connie, Richie Hester and wife, Amy, Greg Hamilton and wife, Jessica, Brian Hamilton and wife, Amy; special second cousins, Alan, Julie, and Finleigh Malone; brother, Jerry Peck; uncle, Gene Hamilton and wife, Brenda, aunt, Grace Hester; nephews and nieces, Johnny Mack, Rex Glasgow and wife, Shelia, Pat Henson and husband, Dr. Jerry, William Gates and wife, Lily, Steve Gates and wife, Cindy, Mark Gates and wife, Michelle; sister-in-law, Juanita Glasgow Lindsey and husband, Austin; special friend, Ronnie Lovett; and much loved four legged companions, Bocephus, Gabby Hayes, and Tootsie Roll Tide.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry “W.H.” Gates; parents, James and Christine Hamilton Peck; special aunt and uncle, Ruby Jean and Van Hamilton; and special cousins, Moe and Randy Hamilton.

The honorary pallbearers were Milton Boyd, John Darty, Ronnie Lovett, Jimmy James, Ken Boyles, Jodie Beard, L.C. Holland, Alfred Pace, and Carl Blackburn.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hospice of the Shoals and to North Alabama Cancer Center for the love and care shown towards Judy in her time of illness.
