Delmar Neal Hester, age 50, Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov.18, 2014 at his residence.

Neal was born on Friday, June 26, 1964.  He was an ironworker and a member of Local 477.  He graduated from Russellville High School and was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.  He was a Mason and an avid Alabama fan.

The visitation was Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The funeral service was Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel.  Speaking at the service was Bro. Jerry Pounders and Neika Nix Morgan.  Burial was at Knights of Pythias Cmetery.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John Malone, Sr. and Louise Harper Malone; fraternal grandparents, Alpha “Slick” Hester and Ruby Kimbrough Hester; and best friend, Wade Levon Pride.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Jackson Hester; son, Tristan Chase Hester; parents, Delmar Nello Hester and Rebecca Malone Hester; sister, Gina Hester James and husband, Timmy; nieces, Neika Nix Morgan, Nicole Nix Henderson, Melondie Weeks Murray; and nephew, Gaven Taylor.

The pallbearers were Bill Hall, Gerald Taylor, John Malone III, Jamie Malone, Jason Malone, Rick Suddith, Drew Henderson, and Sam Morgan.
