Ida Lee Smith Alexander, 84, Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at Emeritus Senior Living, Oak Ridge, Tenn.
Mrs. Alexander was a member of Quinn Church of Christ of Spruce Pine. She was the circuit court registrar for FranklinCounty for years before deciding to become a teacher. She was an elementary school teacher at Hatton Elementary for 25 years. She loved being a foster parent and foster grand-parent. She was a kind and loving lady who was loved by all who knew her.
The visitation was Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville with the funeral following in the chapel. Officiating at the chapel service was Bro. Lonnie Oldag. Bro. Michael Morrow led in the graveside prayer at BelgreenCemetery.
She is survived by her sons, George Carlton Alexander, Samuel J. Alexander and wife, Terri; grandchildren, Gregory Alexander, Audrey Alexander, Bradley Alexander, Samantha Colburn and husband, Randy, Jason Alexander and wife, Stephanie, Seth Alexander, Rebekkah Carter and husband, Josh, Emili Alexander; seven great-grandchildren; and a host nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lee and Ida Jane Smith; and 11 brothers and sisters.
The pallbearers were Randy Colburn, Colby Colburn, Bradley Alexander, and Gregory Alexander.
