RMS volleyball places 2nd in tourney

The Russellville Middle School seventh grade volleyball team hosted a tournament this past weekend at the RMS gym.
Six teams from Russellville, Florence, Haleyville, Mars Hill, Lawrence County and Deshler participated in the tournament.
Russellville played Florence and Haleyville in pool play sweeping both games in two.
The wins led Russellville to play in the semi-finals Saturday evening against Mars Hill. Russellville beat Mars Hill in two, continuing their streak and setting up the final match-up between Russellville and Lawrence County for the championship.
Russellville played hard but came up short against Lawrence County in the final game, and Russellville placed second overall in the tournament.
