Points add up to a win for Tharptown

The Tharptown Wildcats used a 20-point third quarter to put enough separation between them and the Phil Campbell Bobcats to get the 65-52 win at Northwest-Shoals Community College on Friday.

Tharptown led the Bobcats by just one, 14-13, at the end of the first quarter, and the Wildcats extended the lead to 29-24 at halftime.

Tharptown again extended their lead to 13 points at the end of the third quarter.

Max Nolen led Tharptown with 22 points. Kelby Hallmark followed with 18 points. Others scoring for the Wildcats were Riley Nolen (7), Drake Lawson (6), Blake Gray (4), Nathan Chaney (3), and Heath Hatton (2).

Bailey Motes led Phil Campbell with 23 points. Others scoring for the Bobcats were Skylar Tackett (8), Colton Vickery (7), Nathan Duncan (6), Noah Williams (4), and Tommy Reed (3).
