Tressie Elizabeth Duncan, 100, Spruce Pine, formerly of Phil Campbell, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Helen Keller Hospital.

Mrs. Duncan was one of the survivors of the tornadoes of April 27, 2011, as her house was ripped to shreds around her. She loved pictures of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Arcie Duncan; grandson, David Cooper; parents, Thomas and Martha Kelley; brothers, Anaise Kelley, John Kelley; sisters, Dena Cochran, Mary Pounders, and Pearl McCarley.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Duncan, Jean Mayfield and husband, Jack, Barbara Cooper and husband, William; grandchildren, Cindy Mayfield Fox, Chris Mayfield, Mike Cooper, Sonya Cooper Wood, Amanda Cooper Davis, Carla Cooper; great-grandchildren, Corey Jackson, Jenna Jackson, Lexi Cooper, Jocelyn Davis, Haley Clemons, Logan Davis, Garrett Wood, Branden Wood, Ashten Mayfield, Bradey Mayfield, Kurt Fox, Kristina Fox, Jason Fox; great-great-grandchildren, Weston Jackson, Maci Cate Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
