Mary Maedrew Mitchell, 88, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Red Bay Hospital.

She was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Franklin County and was retired as a nurse after 30 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Services were Friday, March 1, 2013, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Randy Hargett and Brent Hargett officiating. Burial was in Greenhill-Ezzell Cemetery, Russellville.

Survivors are one sister, Gracie Mitchell DeVaney, Russellville; a sister-in-law, Virginia Mitchell McCalmon, Russellville, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Lee and Lizzie Bell Johnson Mitchell, two brothers, Benjamin R. Mitchell and Milton Mitchell and two sisters, Hortense Mitchell Rea and Helen Mitchell.
