Edward O’Neil Bragwell, Jr., 56, Russellville, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Helen Keller Hospital.

Mr. Bragwell was a native of Pontotoc, Miss., but had lived in Russellville for the past 13 years. He was a member and minister of Five Points Church of Christ, Russellville. He was employed by the Franklin County S.P.A.N Program as an educational coordinator and was a member of the UAB Alumni Association. He was president of the Russellville High School Band Parents and president of the Rustic Youth Camp Booster Club.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with Carroll Sutton, Mike Morrow, Jr., John Gibson, and Robert David Hutto officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Kay Bragwell; parents, Edward O. Bragwell, Sr. and Patsy Kathryn Bragwell, Russellville; children, Laura Bragwell McDuffa and husband, Matthew, and Kathryn Fay Bragwell, all of Russellville; brothers, Martin Loyd Bragwell and wife, Jane, Gardendale, Jonathan Tyler Bragwell and wife, Sarah, Faulkner; sisters, Vicki Bragwell Russell and husband, Doug, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Carla Dawn Bragwell, Gardendale; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Stephen Russell, Nathan Russell, Seth Hester, Seth Mauldin, Shaun Oliver, and Andrew Franks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, Franklin County S.P.A.N. Program, or Rustic Youth Camp.
