Joe Dale Mitchell, 63, Phil Campbell, passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2012, at UAB Hospital, Birmingham.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Burial was at Union Hill Cemetery, Hackleburg.

He is survived by his sons, Joe Mitchell and wife, Amy, Gerald Kastberg and wife, Larica, Anthony Mayberry and wife, Andrea, Scott Kastberg and wife, Fredia; grandchildren, Erik Mitchell, Ashley Scott, Lindsey Scott, Jacob Mayberry, Callie Beth  Mayberry, Andy Kastberg, Greg Kastberg, Jeremy Kastberg, Amanda Odom, Dylan Kastberg; great-grandchildren, Logan Wright, Lilly Kastberg, Trinity Odom, Lydia Kastberg, Ace Kastberg; sister, Barbara Ford; nephews, Robert Mitchell and Michael Ford.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Hayes Mitchell; parents, James Leonard and Gadsey Mitchell, brothers, Teddy Mitchell, Randall Mitchell, and Joyce Mitchell.
