Herman Junior “Slick” McGuire

Herman Junior “Slick” McGuire, 68, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at ECM Hospital.

Mr. McGuire was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Siloam Baptist Church, Russellville. He was retired from U.S. Reduction and the Northwest Alabama Livestock Yard.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Officiating will be Roger Bonds and Kenneth Bonds.

Survivors include wife, Betty Sue McGuire; sons, Mike McGuire, Russellville, and Randy McGuire and wife, Michelle, Cullman; sister, Martha Murray, Russellville; brother, Odell McGuire, Russellville; grandchildren, Taylor McGuire, Lauren McGuire, Sam McGuire, Maggie McGuire, Cody McGuire, Ashley McGuire; great-granddaughter, Cecelia Grace.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lorene McGuire.
