Donnie Ray McGuire, 65, Russellville, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. McGuire served on the Russellville Police Force for 28 years, with 17 years of serving as the police chief.
The visitation will be from 6 – 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel.
Officiating at the service will be Bro. Jackie Richardson, Bro. Johnnie Richardson and Bro. Bobby Brown. Burial will follow at Tharptown Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Paul McGuire and wife, Michelle, Lee McGuire and wife, Dana McGlaughlin; four grandchildren, Amber McGuire, Katie Ann McGuire, Travis McGuire, Lindsay McGuire; two great-grandchildren; mother, Aileen McGuire; and nieces, Angie Burcham and husband, David, Vicki Grigsby and husband, David.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward McGuire; sisters, Esther Fay McAnalley, Carolyn McGuire and brother, William Edward McGuire.
The pallbearers will be the Russellville Police officers.
