Avis Christine Stalcup, 94, of Phil Campbell, Ala. died Wednesday, October 5, 2011.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 7, 2011 at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, with Dr. Tom Whatley officiating.  Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Seth B. Stalcup; parents, J.H. and Rhoda Nix Britton; one brother; and six sisters.
She is survived by a son, Berry Stalcup and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Jeff Stalcup and wife, Parke, Jason Stalcup, Leah Sucic and husband, Jason, Heath Willingham and wife, Shanna, Audrey Frohnhoefer and husband, Thom; twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Society.
She was a member of Florence First Methodist Church.
A very special thanks to Toni Moore, an angel sent from God and Hospice of the Shoals.
