Man charged with knifepoint robbery
A local man was arrested Friday after being accused of robbing a man at knifepoint last Monday.
Elvis Adam Presley, 25, Ridgecrest Apartments, Russellville, was arrested for first-degree robbery, Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said.
According to Capt. Mike Prince, the male victim in the case was driving his vehicle in town when he was flagged down by what he thought was a friend.
After the victim pulled over, Presley got out of his car and entered the victim’s vehicle and asked for drugs.
“The victim told Presley he didn’t have any drugs and told him to exit his vehicle but Presley pulled out a knife and demanded the victim give him everything he had,” Prince said. “Presley stole $250 before the victim was able to get away.”
As of press time, Presley was still in custody on a $7,500 bond.
