One arrested in business break-in

After receiving a tip, police were able to catch a man in the act of burglarizing a local store this past weekend.

Lucio Campos, 23, Madison Street in Russellville, was arrested late Sunday night and charged with third-degree burglary, investigators said.

According to Russellville Police Chief Christ Hargett, Police received a tip that someone had broken into the El Angel store on Lawrence Street.

When officers responded, they found Campos inside the store.

No damage was reported and the officers were able to arrive before Campos could steal anything from the store. Campos is in custody at the Franklin County Jail on a $7,500 bond.
