Rita Gail Hollis, 59, of Russellville, entered into rest on Feb. 11, 2011.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1951.
Rita was a very special child. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her. She was the light of our lives. Her big blue eyes would melt your heart, and she will greatly be missed by all of us who loved her. We know she is in Heaven with mother smiling down on us.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, from 12-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Bro. Jerry Hester will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery at Wiley Branch Community.
She is survived by her sisters, Doris Hollis Cartee and her husband, Joe, of Russellville, and Brenda Hollis Wakefield and her husband, Larry; nieces, Shona Cartee Weeks and her husband, Gene, and Wenona Wakefield; nephews, Shane Wakefield and Chad Cartee; great nephews, Will Townsend, Lucas Cartee, Carson Cartee and Hank Cartee; great nieces, Brianna, Kaitlin and Samantha Weeks.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lola Hollis.
