William Doyle Fulton, 79, of Tuscaloosa, formerly of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
He was a native of Franklin County, Alabama. He served in the Korean War in the 1st Marine Corps Division. He was awarded in Marine Corps retirement, based on service related disability on May 12, 1959. He received numerous metals related to his service and achieved the rank of sergeant.
The visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clifton Eugene Fulton who was a disabled veteran from his service in World War I. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Fulton; and a sister, Imogene Wallace, both of Russellville.
He is survived by his sister, Ellene Sewell; nephew, Larry Sewell; and a niece, Andrea Parsons, all of Columbia, Tenn.
