The addition of a Big Brothers Big Sisters office in Red Bay is a great asset for the young people in Franklin County.

There is no doubt there are many bad influences in the world today. Having the guidance of good role models is key for young people as they begin the transition into adulthood.

The program has been matching youths and mentors for a year now, but the addition of the new office gives the organization a face in the county and will stir up interest in the program.

While it is nice Big Brothers Big Sisters is branching out to include Franklin County, the job cannot be done without volunteers.
