Elbert Junior Crews, 80, of Hackleburg, Ala., passed away Monday, Jan, 10, 2011 at Russellville Hospital. Mr. Crews was a man whose passion in life was playing and enjoying music.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Benny Knight. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery in Hackleburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, R.B. and Viola Crews; brother, Edward Crews; sister, Lillie Mae Woods; and son, Rickey Crews.
He is survived by his lifelong companion, Mae Loveless; children, Judith Buckner; Lesa Tinney and husband, Chris, Randal Crews, Jeff Loveless and wife, Kim, Frankie Loveless and wife, Linda, Steve Loveless and wife, Glenda, Bryan Loveless; 21 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; half-brother, Freddy Cagle and wife, Betty; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses at Russellville Hospital for the love and care shown towards Mr. Crews.
