Market Place great idea to boost local economy
Beginning in April a new market place will open to provide residents of Franklin County an avenue to buy and sell locally made crafts.
The market place will allow residents of the county a central location to sell homemade crafts and products throughout the year.
This will not only boost pride in the community, but it will also help with the local economy.
By limiting vendors to Franklin County residents and prohibiting the sale of mass manufactured products, the money earned by the vendors is more likely to stay in the county.
Organizers hope the event will become popular and attract shoppers from surrounding counties, which will also boost the local economy.
This is a great idea from the Chamber of Commerce that should benefit residents of Franklin County.
Hopefully the market place will catch on and live up to its potential.
