Brenda Gail McKinney, 64, of Red Bay, passed away Dec. 27, 2010 at her residence.  She was born September 17, 1946 in Mississippi. She was talented in many ways.  She loved to quilt and sew.  She could grow anything from flowers to vegetables and she enjoyed everything in the outdoors.  She was retired as a poultry farmer.  She was James’ best friend and a very devoted wife.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Robert Wood officiating. Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery.  

She is survived by her husband, James E. McKinney, of Red Bay; three children, Christine Jones and husband, Jim, and Bruce Anderson and wife, April, all of Tremont, Miss. and Brian Reynolds and wife, Danielle, of Tupelo, Miss.; three step-children, Richard McKinney and wife, Laura, of Red Bay, Donna Hicks and husband, Shannon, of Murphreesboro, Tenn. and Chastidy Lynch and husband, Terry, of Decatur, Ala.; her very devoted sister, Robin Webb and husband, Mike, of Chippewa Falls, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Sabastian Dees and wife, Blair, Zakk Jones, Michelle Anderson, Kelsey Anderson, Skylar Anderson, Anna Reynolds and Jeremy Reynolds; and five step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Verda Painter Godsey; and brother, Terry Godsey.
